About Us


Clemson Community Care (CCC) was established in 1988 by ministers of various denominational churches in Clemson, Central, and Pendleton as a non-profit charitable corporation to serve the local community. CCC is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Clemson Community Care works in cooperation with local religious, civic, educational, and private agencies to support low-income families and individuals by helping them overcome periods of financial crisis and become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community.  Partner Agencies ; Supporting Churches

Clemson Community Care Board of Directors consists of an elected president, vice president, secretary and treasurer and representatives of area churches and other organizations. The board meets monthly. (The current board is listed in the right column.) CCC staff includes an executive director, program director, financial director and receptionist who oversee maintain operations of the organization. Clemson Community Care operates in a building located at 105 Anderson Highway in Clemson. The building includes: a client waiting room, three interview rooms, offices for the staff and administrative volunteers, and a food pantry for storing and distributing food for our clients. Office hours are 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Many local corporations, civic groups and organizations help with funding and with food for the food pantry and various food drives are conducted throughout the community. Additional funding support is received in the form of grants, financial assistance and food from other agencies and programs.

Financial Audit a

In March 2017, CCC received results of an independent financial audit conducted by Seneca-based CPA firm Payne, White & Schmutz, CPA, PA. This is our 8th comprehensive audit that is needed to satisfy the requirements for being a United Way funded agency. We are proud to report that we are pleased with the findings of the firm and our successful completion of the audit process. CCC is a partner agency with both Pickens County United Way and Anderson County United Way.

Home Repair Program

CCC offers a home repair program to qualifying clients. Year to date, 13 projects have been completed in Central, Clemson and Pendleton. Projects have ranged from simple repairs, such as replacing rotten facia and safety railings, to more complex repairs, such as roof repair and HVAC restoration. Home ownership and financial need are prerequisites for consideration in the program. This program helps maintain neighborhoods and keeps client’s residences safe and secure.

Canned beans, Canned meat and fish, Canned vegetables, Cereal, Dry beans, Dry pasta, Flour/corn meal, Fruit, Instant potatoes, Jell-o, Juice, Macaroni and cheese, Oatmeal/grits, Pasta sauce, Peanut butter, Pork and beans, Powdered/canned milk, Rice, Soup, Tomatoes-canned, Tomato paste, Tomato sauce

Miscellaneous: Baby diapers, Bath soap, Dish detergent, Laundry detergent, Paper towels, Shampoo, Toilet paper, Toothpaste
