Be a sponsor!
For $250, you can sponsor the Senior Food Box Program for one month, providing a supplemental box of food to 60 local recipients who are over the age of 60 and living at or below the poverty line.
Donate Food for Our Pantry
Please donate to our food pantry. The lists of food items we distribute to each family was prepared by a nutrition group at Clemson University and consists of: juice, peanut butter, canned meats, canned fish, canned vegetables, canned and dried beans, rice, soup, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, pasta, canned or dried milk, oatmeal, grits, cereal, flour, canned fruit, jello or pudding, crackers or bread. In addition, grocery bags are filled with other items called extras that are donated, such as sugar, eggs, bottled water, nearly expired food we receive from the Walmart distribution program and the Publix bakery, household items such as toiletries, laundry and dish soaps. When purchasing items, consider some more nutritional items such as whole grains, low in salt, and low in sugar.
We give out over 10,000 pounds of food a month. The number of requests for food is ongoing. You can bring food items by the CCC office (9am to 1pm, Monday-Thursday) or to one of the supporting churches.
