Dear Friends,
Thank you for your interest in Clemson Community Care. For over 35 years, CCC has been serving residents of the Central, Clemson, and Pendleton areas with basic needs services. While our ways of serving have changed over these years, our purpose and philosophy have remained steadfast—to provide a safety net to those in our community who find themselves in a difficult situation and to do it with care, compassion, and respect.
We appreciate you being on the journey with us and look forward to continuing to work together.
Please visit this website often for updates on programming, food needs, and information.
Again, thank you for your interest and support of CCC. We look forward to the next 35 years of serving.
Having worked in this area as a school counselor for over thirty years, I was able to witness first hand how much Clemson Community Care provides for our citizens and especially our children. I knew that upon retirement, I did not want my relationship with CCC to end. I promised to give back to this wonderful organization. I started out as a volunteer in the food pantry. Our minister then announced that a board member was needed to represent our congregation. I knew this opportunity was for me. I am currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors. I have found that the phrase “many hands make light work” to be true at CCC, which runs as a well oiled machine.
However, this machine cannot run without the support of our community. Daily, volunteers interview clients, pick up donations, stock shelves, and prepare food bags for clients. The staff works hard to obtain funding sources, promote the program, ensure guidelines are followed, coordinate volunteers and community efforts.
Our primary financial support continues to be donations from local individuals along with churches and community groups.
Clemson Community Care is a lifeline for many families from our area. I would hate to think what would happen to some of these families if it were not for the vision and support of citizens in our area.
Please join us as we support the work of CCC. You would be helping to support one of the things about our area that should make us all very proud.
